our story

We are the smart inspection planning pioneers.

We develop fully automated visual inspection solutions for a broad range of production lines and markets.

Our systems help manufacturers reduce costs, improve quality and efficiency as they endorse digital transformation in the Industry 4.0 world.

Driven by our passion for technology and quality, we developed an innovative, powerful and universal solution that leverages cutting-edge computer vision and artificial intelligence capabilities, including deep learning, advanced robotics and big data analytics.

Kitov.ai was founded in 2014 by CTO and Founder Dr. Yossi Rubner, as a spin-off of RTC Vision, which had been developing advanced computer vision algorithms for over a decade.  Kitov aimed to develop a universal system that can be intuitively trained by a non-expert to inspect almost any product and to effectively replace humans at the tedious task of finding and judging defects across production lines.

Kitov-CorePlus- our initial product offering and the first smart inspection planning product in the market – was launched in mid-2016 and has been successfully deployed by Tier 1 customers in Europe, China, Malaysia, USA, Mexico, Japan and Israel.

In 2018 Kitov-CorePlus received a platinum-level award for innovation by the Vision Systems Design Magazine in recognition of its breakthrough technology.

“Kitov-CorePlus enables operators with no previous machine vision, robotics or programming to set up the system in just a few hours.”

Vision Systems Design

In late 2018 Kitov completed a funding round to scale up the business and increase market penetration. The funding was led by RSBG, a leading international equity firm, and the HAHN Group together with the participation of Global IOT Technology Venture (GiTV) from Japan.

With this investment, Kitov.ai became a member of the Hahn Group and  has leveraged the Hahn Group’s market position as a leader in automation and robotics.

“KITOV’s IIoT competence has the potential to reshape the industry by helping manufacturers to overcome the challenges of quality inspection. We believe that adding KITOVS IIoT advanced technology will assist our customers as well as manufacturers in any industry to go through the 4’th generation of industrial transformation using the power of algorithms, data analytics and machine learning for smart manufacturing in the cyber age.”

Thomas Hähn, CEO HAHN Group.

We have established  an alliance with leading companies and distribution partners and opened our sales and service centers in China (Suzhou), Germany (Rheinböllen) and in USA (planned in H1/19)
